Igra je izašla 25.listopada 2011. godine, a iščekivanja su bila velika ,a to su i ispunili. Sa fantastičnom grafikom Battlefield 3 je pomeo konkurenciju kao što je i najveći konkurent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
